Chief Executive

Graham Wren

Graham Wren joined CSCS in 2012. He previously worked at Balfour Beatty for 29 years, latterly as managing director of Balfour Beatty Ground Engineering.  In the past he has been chairman of the Federation of Piling Specialists (FPS), president of the National Specialists Contractors Council (NSCC) and also sat on the Strategic Forum for Construction.

Director of Operations

Gordon Jenkins

Gordon Jenkins has been involved with CSCS since its inception in 1995 in various roles, becoming Scheme Manager in 2006 and Director of Operations in 2011. He is tasked with overall responsibility for implementation of the Scheme’s business strategy.  His focus is on extending the occupational coverage of the scheme to meet the needs of the industry.  His job sees him working with contractors and clients, trade associations, professional institutes, unions and other construction related bodies to ensure that the Scheme meets the needs of a continuing evolving construction sector. He has recently completed an MBA at the University of East Anglia.

Director of Strategy & Communications

Helen Atkinson

Helen has worked with CSCS since 2009 and leads the organisation’s strategic planning, communications and stakeholder relations. Her career has spanned across housebuilding, local government, technical publishing and consultancy, and she also worked as Director of Client Services for CORGI where she was employed for nearly 12 years. Helen holds the Chartered Institute of Marketing Postgraduate Diploma and an MBA.
