The recently announced change to the Scheme meaning that all competency assessed members of relevant professional bodies can apply for PQP (Professionally Qualified Persons) cards regardless of whether they are site or office based has clearly been a popular move with the number of professions applying for CSCS cards increasing.

Chris Blythe, Chief Executive of the CIOB comments:
"Our members are increasingly being asked whether they have CSCS cards. Prior to this change there was confusion about which card they should apply for, which deterred many from bothering and stopped them from using CSCS to demonstrate their leadership in health and safety on site through ownership of CSCS cards throughout the construction industry."
