Director of Operations seeks new opportunities

After 24 years with CSCS Gordon Jenkins will be leaving this Christmas to explore new opportunities in America.

Graham Wren, CSCS Chief Executive said, ‘Gordon’s contribution to the success of CSCS is unquestionable. Gordon was one of the original team members when the scheme was established in 1995 and since then has worked in various roles, becoming Director of Operations in 2011. Gordon was a key member of the executive team and his contribution to all aspects of CSCS’s operations will be greatly missed.”

Of course, the corporate wheels must keep turning and CSCS is pleased to report that Service Delivery Manager Garry Mortimer will step up to the Operations role.

Garry joined CSCS in June 2018 having previously worked at CITB for 17 years. During his time with CITB Garry supported a number of construction industry card schemes, including CSCS. Garry’s expert knowledge of card schemes and the qualifications landscape makes him ideally placed to take up the Operations role within CSCS. The operational responsibilities that were held by Garry will be handled, in the interim, within the current team structure.

Graham added ‘CSCS would like to thank Gordon for his many years of exemplary service and we wish him well in his new endeavours. Garry’s move to the Operations role will ensure that Gordon’s duties will transition smoothly within the business.’
