Building Safety Act summary
The Building Safety Act came into force in April 2022, establishing a new national Building Safety Regulator positioned within the Health and Safety executive, which reports to the Secretary of State. Download Build UK’s Building Safety Regime guide.

CSCS Smart Check
CSCS Smart Check allows all 2.1 million cards in the construction industry displaying the CSCS logo to be verified using a single interface. Available as an API for existing systems, CSCSSmartCheck.co.uk and a free mobile app via the App Store or Google Play.
Industry Accreditation
All Industry Accreditation (IA) cards issued from 1st Jan 2020 will expire on 31st Dec 2024 and cannot be replaced using IA.
