Chief Executive
Sean Kearns
Sean Kearns joined CSCS in 2022, having previously been Managing Director and founder of Thought & Impact – a management consultancy working to increase Social Impact and stimulate Thought Leadership for charities, social enterprise and the public sector.
He has spent the last 15 years of his career in areas related to skills and qualifications, with over 25 years’ experience in business start-up, change management and project management in the charitable and local government arena.
Head of Operations
Garry Mortimer
Garry Mortimer joined CSCS in June 2018. He previously worked at CITB alongside a number of construction card schemes, including CSCS. At CSCS Garry is responsible for a number of key functions within the operations department. He is responsible for the delivery of a high-quality service to cardholders and manages CSCS’ contractual relationships with a number of service providers.
Head of Communications
Alan O’Neile
Alan O’Neile joined the CSCS team in September 2014. He previously managed the strategic communications for a number of nationally significant infrastructure projects. Prior to that, he worked in corporate communications and external affairs.
His focus is on reinforcing CSCS’s position within the UK construction industry and maximising awareness about the scheme to industry stakeholders. He is responsible for leading the development and implementation of all communications activities including media relations, public affairs and stakeholder engagements.
Operations Executive
Gordon Jenkins
Gordon Jenkins has been involved with the scheme since 1995 and before his relocation to the United States in late 2019, he was CSCS Director of Operations. His current role is to support the head of operations in planning, monitoring and controlling all aspects of the scheme, and providing high standards of customer service to all stakeholders.
Scheme Manager
Angeleen Hill
Angeleen Hill joined CSCS team in May 2013. She previously worked in Civil Engineering project controls and finance for over 6 years. Angeleen works with employers, partners, training organisations and awarding bodies, to manage qualifications and compliance to the CSCS scheme requirements. She acts as a focus for appeals and occupational queries and works closely with our service provider to manage the day to day running of the scheme.
Financial Controller
Julie Spence
Julie Spence has worked with CSCS since 2013 and joined the team in 2019. Julie has over 30 years of experience handling the financial affairs of companies across a wide range of sectors, including manufacturing, engineering and construction. She is responsible for managing CSCS’ accounts.
Senior Administrator
Katie Reed
Katie Reed joined CSCS in March 2021 to support the Operations Team and our suppliers in delivering a high-quality service to our card holders. She previously worked at CITB as part of the team undertaking administration services for Card Schemes, including CSCS. Katie also manages our IT Partner network for the validation of CSCS cards on site.
Communications and Marketing Manager
Matthew Rogerson
Matthew Rogerson joined the CSCS team in July 2021. He previously worked in Media Relations for the Institution of Civil Engineers. His main focus at CSCS is to maximise awareness of the scheme and reinforce CSCS’s position and reputation within the construction industry.
Matthew is involved in the development and implementation of all communications activities including stakeholder engagements, event planning and industry research. He is responsible for CSCS’s website content and social media activity.
