CSCS PQP Card Changes: Institute of Roofing (IoR) Dissolution

Following confirmation that the Institute of Roofing (IoR) is in the process of dissolving, CSCS will no longer accept new applications for Professionally Qualified Person (PQP) cards based on IoR membership from 1^st January 2026.

Existing cardholders will retain their cards until 30^th September 2026, after which they will be withdrawn.

Any new applications for the PQP card based on IoR membership must be submitted before 1^st January 2026 in order to be accepted.

Cards issued between 1^st December 2025 and 31^st December 2025 will have a fixed expiry date of 30^th September 2026.

To support members during this transition, the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) has partnered with IoR to provide a smooth and supportive pathway into CIOB membership.

For individuals who obtain CIOB membership at an accepted level, a new PQP card with the CIOB membership can be applied for. Alternatively, if individuals hold a recognised construction-related academic qualification, the Academically Qualified Person (AQP) card can be applied for.

Applications for both the AQP and PQP cards require a CITB HS&E test for Managers and Professionals to have been passed within the last two years.
