CSCS heads out to support Open Doors 2025

Published: March 24, 2025

Open Doors 2025 took place last week – with visitors going behind the scenes to witness first hand the fantastic range of careers available across the UK construction industry.

The construction projects available to visitors ranged from houses to skyscrapers, with manufacturing facilities, offices and training centres also opening their doors to demonstrate the off-site roles across the sector.

As regular sponsors of the Build UK initiative, members of the CSCS team were out and about visiting construction sites across the UK, including our Group Chief Executive, Sean Kearns, who visited Littlewood Group Fencing and the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Cancer Centre as well as CSCS Cards Executive Director of Operations, Garry Mortimer who visited CITB’s National Construction College.

Marc Spillman, our Business Development Lead focusing on the implementation of the CSCS Smart Check API, headed out to Stanmore College in Middlesex.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Cancer Centre

Alongside Girls Under Construction, our Group Chief Executive Sean Kearns headed to Great Ormond Street, which will be home to a cancer day care service, cancer patient wards, critical care, imaging and theatre facilities, a hospital school and a roof garden.
