CITB announce Health, safety and environment test price rise

Published: April 1, 2022

From today, the price of Construction Industry Training Board’s (CITB) Health, safety and environment test will rise from £22 to £22.50.

To apply for a CSCS card, you must have the appropriate construction related qualifications and, in most cases, you must also pass the CITB Health, safety and environment test.

CITB’s Health, safety and environment test examines knowledge across a wide range of topics to improve safety and productivity on site and it is usually taken as a PC-based test.

Many people incorrectly call it the CSCS test. However, this is a common misconception within the industry. Whilst passing the test is a key requirement to obtaining most CSCS cards, the test is owned and managed by CITB.

The price change only applies to the CITB Health, safety and environment test. The price of your CSCS card remains at £36.

Visit the CITB website for more information about the CITB Health, safety and environment test.
