The Academically and Professionally Qualified Person cards are available to those with academic construction-related qualifications and members of approved professional bodies respectively.

Construction related degrees, HNDs, HNCs, CIOB Certificates and certain NEBOSH diplomas and certificates are accepted for the Academically Qualified Person card, while membership of these bodies, at the correct grade, is the key criteria for a Professionally Qualified Person card.

Both cards require the applicant to pass the CITB Managers and Professionals Health, safety and environment test or the CIC Health and Safety Test.
