The Department for Education have announced they are expanding the free courses for jobs offer to support providers to deliver more construction training.
Through this scheme, eligible learners can access high-value Level 2 & Level 3 qualifications for free – designed to help individuals progress into good jobs, earn higher wages, and meet the growing skills needs across the UK economy.
You can access a list of Level 2 & Level 3 construction qualifications that are now being offered for free, if you meet the eligibility criteria below:
- aged 19 or over
- earn below £25,750 or are unemployed
If you’ve ever thought about a career in construction, this is an excellent opportunity to take your first step.
Completing one of these qualifications can open doors to a wide range of roles across the industry, and help you gain the skills and training required to be able to apply for a CSCS card.
CSCS does not provide training or qualifications – courses will need to be arranged via a college or training provider.
Below is a list of free courses that currently result in being recognised for a CSCS Trainee card, upon successful completion of your course and after passing the Operative level CITB Health, Safety and Environment test.
